PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
- To comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013 ("POPI"), GLI must obtain the customer's consent before processing Personal Information.
- To fulfil the requirements of the rental agreement, by clicking on the submit button the Applicant expressly consents and agrees that GLI or its cessionary(ies) may:
- make inquiries to validate and verify any PERSONAL INFORMATION provided by the Applicant.
- may conduct inquiries from any source.
- obtain personal information from credit bureaus.
- process Personal Information to deliver services as per the rental agreement.
- process and disclose the Applicant’s PERSONAL INFORMATION for the prevention, detection, and reporting of fraud and criminal activities, and/or the identification of the proceeds of unlawful activities, and the combating of money laundering activities.
- process and report on the Applicant’s PERSONAL INFORMATION to comply with an obligation imposed by any applicable laws.
- utilize automated decision processes to facilitate the generation of credit score cards to determine the creditworthiness of the Applicant and retain and utilize records of information pertinent to the Applicant’s ongoing creditworthiness.
TRADE REFERENCE & CREDIT BUREAU CONSENT
- I/We authorize GLI or its cessionary/ies to check my/our credit records and trade references with any credit reference agency or third party to confirm the information provided.
- This consent applies to all directors, shareholders, members, and associates of the Applicant.
- As a signatory to this application, I/we agree to indemnify GLI or its cessionary/ies against any claims made by the Applicant's directors, shareholders, members, or associates based on this consent.
FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE ACT (“FICA”)
All accountable institutions must identify their clients under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act No. 38 of 2001. I/We consent to GLI conducting identification and fraud prevention checks and sharing information as needed.
CERTIFICATE
- I/We certify that the information I/we provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge and belief.
- I/we are not aware of any circumstances that I/we did not disclose to GLI in writing that could impact your decision.
- I/We certify that there are no writs, summonses, judgments, petitions, winding-up orders, or liquidation applications pending or threatened against the Applicant or its directors/shareholders.
